Handcar, CPR station, Port Moody, BC






Port Moody was the original western Canada terminus for the Canadian Pacific Railway, before it went to Vancouver. The old station and some equipment are preserved as a heritage site. This hand operated "handcar" took a couple of workers along the track for maintenance jobs.

I am so glad not everything is manual in these modern times. It looks very hard work.
