My art on a cheese label
A drawing I did in August 2009 was used by Dovre Food Import & Export Ltd., of Vancouver BC. Really good cheese too!

Back to basics
Cold and wet outside so I started looking at drawing books. Colour as value, line weights, 2-5 values, foreground midground background, overlap, perspective, etc, etc, etc. If I could only remember to use at least some while drawing. So I made this little setup to draw. Nice and warm inside, tea pot ready, music on, joy.

Art Stuff
This is what I am using these days when I go drawing. Any inexpensive, on sale 140lb watercolor paper, 9 X12" or I tear up sheets to 7.5 X 11", a plastic clip board with 3 or 4 sheets of paper is light, a Lamy Safari fountain pen, medium nib, Noodlers Polar Black waterproof ink, a small palette I filled with Da Vinci and some Daniel Smith watercolor paint, a Holbein waterbrush. Usually I do the color at home with the other three brushes. I love the big one. I carry it all in a shoulder bag.
Sundance II
Sat on the wharf at the fish dock adjacent to Granville Island in downtown Vancouver BC and drew this fishing boat. I drew about half of the mindboggling array of lines, wires, rigging, whatever, that I could see.
