Handcar, CPR station, Port Moody, BC






Port Moody was the original western Canada terminus for the Canadian Pacific Railway, before it went to Vancouver. The old station and some equipment are preserved as a heritage site. This hand operated "handcar" took a couple of workers along the track for maintenance jobs.

Dip pen drawings










I have been trying using a dip pen. It's OK for line weights and has a sometimes neat look but it can be fiddly to use which takes away from the spontaneity of the drawing. These drawings are exercises from "Pen and Ink with Watercolor" by George Olson.
