Nitobe Memorial Garden

I had a very enjoyable day drawing with Dino Pai in the Nitobe Memorial Garden at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC. It is considered to be one of the best traditional Japanese gardens in North America and in the top five outside of Japan.

Point Roberts, Wa.

We now live in Delta, British Columbia,  5 minutes north of Point Roberts, Washington, USA. Yesterday we crossed the border and spent the afternoon sitting on the beach at Lighthouse Park listening to the waves and enjoying the view of the Gulf islands and Vancouver Island. Sea Lions, Seals and , if you are lucky, the odd Orca whale cruise by.
